Hello,

I'm a Nigerian, and I just got my visa approved for a two years masters at the University of Manitoba. I will like to defer my admission from fall 2018 to fall 2019 because of a one year Commonwealth scholarship to study in UK. I can easily defer my admission by one year at University of Manitoba because I already paid my first term tuition. My concern is; how possible will it be to enter Canada next year August to start my course and as well extend my study visa by one year in order to complete my course in 2021? Can my visa be revolked if I don't use it immediately? How possible can I extend my visa? Will I face any problem at the point of entrance?

I hope to know what you guys thinking because this is a major decision to make in my life.

Many thanks!

I believe you should contact the Canadian High Commission in Nigeria and enquire about your deferral of admission and ask them for any formalities. I don't think they will revoke your visa just for a deferral since people do it all the time if their visa comes later than the class start date.
