Can I come into Canada on a work visa with my spouse on a tourist visa?

Have planned on doing a bit of seasonal work before exploring Canada with my wife who has already used up her IEC...

We're from New Zealand.

You cannot have a visa If you are from New Zealand, NZ is a visa-exempt country.

I don't get what you are asking though.
