Hi,
My situation is like this.
I first came to Canada to work for the company as a software engineer and started the position on 2022/11, the offer is full time and does not state an end date. At that time I had working holiday visa (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/iec.html), so they said I did not need an LMIA based work permit.
When my work permit(2022/9 ~ 2023/9) was about to expire, my company helped me get an LMIA-exempt work permit (case type 52), which has the company's name on it.
My new work permit issue date is 2023/11 and expire date is 2026/9.

Right now I have been working for this company for over 1 year. I checked a bunch of posts like https://ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=697&top=29, but still could not get a solid answer.
For example I do not know how to check " under an international agreement or Federal-Provincial-Territorial agreement (or certain other cases)" mentioned in the post

I wonder if I can claim the 50 points for my job offer?

Thanks

Once you have worked a year on your LMIA exempt work permit, you can count the 50 points with a new job offer. So in November 2024.

Thank you for the reply
Do you know where I can find the information about this part?
I was checking "Federal skilled workers and Canadian experience class"
in this https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/offer-employment.html
Seems like "have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer" is the only condition.

You can claim for Canadian work experience with one year but not the 50 points on a LMIA exempt permit.

Thank
is it because I am not in the following categories?

you have a valid work permit that is exempt from an LMIA under:
  • an international agreement
  • a federal-provincial agreement
  • the “Canadian interests” category

I don’t know what LMIA exemption you have. What is your NOC? Citizenship?
