I have just received a new work permit today, which expires at the end of 2016.
I need go to the US next month, but it looks like there is not enough time for me to apply for a new visa, which expired 2 months ago.

Am I able to re-enter Canada with my work permit if my entry visa has expired?

Thanks!!

Yes, as long you only go to US or St. Pierre et Miquelon

You still need to present a valid visa. You cannot use the work permit for you to re-enter canada. If you read the remarks at the bottom of the permit, it says it does not authorize re-entry. If still in doubt, contact cbsa or cic.
