Of course, no restrictions whatsoever, just meet all of the requirements for the visa; and make sure you plan your affairs so that you will know of any communication from CIC with regard to your immigration application.

pls advice

Hi everyone,

I am working presently here in Manila(Philippines), I am so interested in applying for canadian skilled workr immgrant together with my offcmates.Does anyone know,if where we can apply for a mimimal cost? there is this consulting firm who's asking for more than 50k for consultation only. This is big amount for us to pay, and yet there is no guarantee.
We are still doing some research to how we can submit our application. Or do we really have to hire/use consultants to apply, can application be process thru Internet? I saw one thru internet, but still asking for the equivalent of (P6,000).

Please advice. Thank you

with the help of this forum you could apply alone but it is best to seek the help of a consultant,
but only use them for this "consultant" you could still submit your own application
good luck with it

Start your reading at www.cic.gc.ca (the official site). Take the assessment test at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp Do not over estimate your language ability. If you are able to follow instructions closely and are able to present your case fully and document it as well, you can do it on your own. But if you require a consultant, they must be a member of Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, or a member of the Canadian Bar to represent you.
Make sure you find your job description in the NOC and that is in category A&B or O http://www23.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/2001/e/generic/welcome.shtml
