Hi,

I have a job offer from Canada, and I have also got a PNP nomination certificate to apply for the visa.

Am I allowed to submit my work permit and PR applications simultaneously?

Kindly advise. Thanks.

You can only apply for a work permit once your employer will be able to get you an LMIA. Some of the provinces I think are willing to do it for certain occupations. Otherwise I think you have to wait. Let's see what others will say. If you have PNP nomination I guess you are going through EE?

Powodzenia ;)

@dxdroid ,
Dziekuje za twoja odpowiedz!
To explain more in detail, I have an AHSP provincial nomination certificate, along with a WORK PERMIT REFERRAL LETTER. So it is exempted from the LIMA.
My employer asked me to join as early as possible, so I have applied for the work permit in Nov-2021, unfortunately, it is taking more time than mentioned in IRCC (As per the IRCC website, the average processing time is 9 weeks for Poland).
Now, I am thinking to submit my PR application in parallel because my AHSP Provincial nomination certificate is expiring in 4 weeks. :-(

Yes, apply for PR straight away :) why you did not do that earlier? You can have Work Permit application processed in parallel. We are awaiting for this as well as we got a PNP from NB and my gf now was asked to submit her CV and cover letters to some hospitals as they became interested in her. So if she would receive a job offer then we will apply for a work permit but at the same time we currently have PR application in progress as well. Make sure you have all documents ready for the PR application. Are you going through Express Entry?

@dxdroid ,
Somehow, I have underestimated the work permit process. ☹
Yes, I am planning to go with the EE process, do you have any better proposals? Please let me know.
And if my luck favours, we shall meet soon in NB.

Are you currently in the pool? Did you receive an ITA into your EE application already? Do you have all the documents prepared for EE application?

@dxdroid ,
I do not have the EE profile yet, so I will create one and submit it.
To begin, I have to prepare all the required documents. I will start gathering all the needed documents.
Is there any link to refer to? please let me know. Thank you.

Were you planning to apply through EE it looks like that you have applied outside EE to PNP directly. To which province did you apply.

Yes, I've applied through AIPP (NB website), in this case, we don't need a EE profile. The only requirement is the job offer.
Thank you for sharing the link.

Then its a different story. I have not that much knowledge in other streams but their portal is really easy to use apart of few bugs that it has haha Good luck with your application.

@dxdroid ,
I’ve performed the below tasks in chronological order,
  1. Received a job offer from NB.
  2. Applied for the AIPP (using NB website).
  3. Received a positive decision (PNP certificate, and a work permit referral letter).
  4. With this referral letter, I have submitted the Work Permit application online (via IRCC website) on Nov-2021.
  5. It is been 12+ weeks, and I am still waiting for the Work Permit decision. :( As per the IRCC website, the average processing time for Poland is 9 weeks.
Since my PNP certificate validity is going to expire soon, I am thinking to submit the PR application as well via the IRCC website (using EE profile).

Sure, I will let you know if I hear anything.

Thanks!
And best wishes to you!

Just remember that the process for EE is quiet expensive and you need to also show the minimum amount of funds. Depending on how many people are coming with you it might change drastically.

You also need extra few documents. I do not think you will make it. What I would propose is to contact NB Immigration Office and ask them to issue you an extension on your ITA ;) they should be able to do it.
