Can I apply through the VAC in USA while I'm on a tourist visa?

Hello everyone,

I am a resident of Pakistan. I have been admitted to a university for a master's program for the January 2017 intake. I have entered the USA on the 4th of August and received my offer letter from the university on the 5th of August. Now, I am confused as to what I should do. Can I apply for my study permit to the VACs in USA? Because it is near to impossible for me to go back to Pakistan right now and apply for the visa.
Need immediate response.

You can only apply through US vac only if you are

1- US citizen
2- Green Card holder
3- temporary residence or have a valid status in the us

Other wise they simply will forward your application to you home country visa office

What is meant by valid status?

Valid status like US Student visa , work visa, anything that u r currently living there

If u apply from US (which is not ur home country)
Ur chances re slim
U will have to show good home ties
