can i apply for work permit without the positive lmo?

My employer sent the application of LMO last july 24 and we already have file number but till now we have received a fax from them yet. just wondering if i can apply for a work permit with just the file number that we have while waiting for the positive lmo to come. Im now on my restoration and soon to be over. Im running of time, i don't know what to do already...

Yes, apply for restoration and new work permit using the LMO file number. This is better than letting the restoration period expire, which will mean you have to leave Canada and apply in your home country. So act fast.

yay I've got the positive lmo already....im gonna call CIC on MOnday. Just wondering if do i have to sent a copy?

as long as u have the file number u can apply for work permit already. but if your not running out of time unlike me I'm on restoration so i have to sent my work permit application. u will it get soon. give them 2weeks more...
