I landed canada in Dec 2001 as Permanent Resident. But I did not live long enough (i.e. 730 days) in Canada due to personal reasons. My PR card was expired in Mar 2008 and never tried to renew it. I understand that my Canadian PR status would no longer be valid. I currently live in USA and just want to visit friends/relatvies in Canada. (Note: I not expecting/trying to get Canadian PR status back)

Question:

Am I eligible to visit Canada? Can I apply for visiting visa?
Any negative impacts, when I apply for canadain visiting visa? (as I gave up my PR status in Canada)

Thx

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You don't need a visitor visa to come Canada if you are holding valid passport from any visa-exempted countries/region, such as the States

Then you don't need a visitor visa to enter Canada.

"persons lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who are in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence;"
