Can I apply for PR Visa from India?

Hi Leon.

I am living in New Delhi. I want to know that can i apply for Permanent Resident Visa ( Canada)?

I h've 4 Years experience in garment textile industries.
and undergraduate from Delhi University.
Advanced in english Speaking, Listening, Writting.
and my nephew is also studying here in Toronto.

I just want to know that is it possible to apply Canada PR visa from New Delhi (India)?


And how much tome it will take ?

Yes, if you qualify. In order to find out if you qualify, you must go to the cic website and look at the requirements. If you qualify, the cic website is also where you would find the forms to apply.

If you qualify and apply for a PR visa, the processing time will take months and after they are satisfied that you really qualify and you have passed background checks and medicals, the Canadian embassy in New Delhi will ask you for your passport and they will give you a PR visa in your passport. In order to get your PR, you will have to land in Canada with your PR visa before it expires.

I don't know what you mean. You will find immigration Canada (CIC) here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/

You should go there and look at the immigrant section to see the different programs requirements and find out if you qualify.

Is it necessary for PR visa having a job in Canada? After landed we can search jobs in Canada.
It is necessary to apply for LMO Canada and get approval from there.

Plz advise
