CAN I APPLY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN THE UK TO CANADA

I came into the UK with 2 yrs Highly Skilled Migrant Program Visa and the visa is now expired but I am still in the UK. Can I apply for my Permanent Residence (Federal Skilled Worker) to canada in the UK even though my visa is expired???

I am a Nigerian.

I am not sure about it but since your visa is expired, is init you status illegal now since you are staying over there without any permit. In that case, I am pretty sure that you are not eligible to apply over there since your status is not a valid one right now. Then again, I might be wrong since I am not familiar with UK temporary resident visa policy.

Agreed With Rhassan, you could apply it when you were not illegal.

If you have already got the acceptance from the school then you can apply atleast 2 months before your visa expire because CHC London office takes 5 weeks for processing of the applications.

Second option is just go to your home country and apply from there.

The fact that ur already an illegal immigrant in the UK will already put alot of weight against you in the visa process. No way in hell will he be convinced that u'll leave when ur visa is over in Canada
