Can I apply for my wife SOWP on the basis of my student VISA, while I am outside Canada?

I have received a student visa on Feb 8th. I applied for my wife SOWP on 19th Feb. But I am currently not in Canada. Is it a problem that I applied for her SOWP without me entering Canada?
Will they reject the application since I have not crossed the border and do not have a study permit yet?
