Hi guys !

Thanks you for your information in these forums!
I have read clearly your history of the application for study permit with LA office. I wish you all the best luck to get it finally.
I feel confused about my case. Can you give me some advices ?

My case is that : I have gone back to China from March- MAY, three months. But before, i was always in Canada with my Old Study permit.
This time, I came back to canada on June 3th with a tourist visa of 6 months. Because my old study permit has been expired. I should apply for a new Study Permit with office in LA to continue my studies in Canada.

Do you think we can successfully apply for a study permit from the office in LA ?
Do you think it is also necessary to do a medical exam since i have been in China only 3 months ?
Thank you very much !

I think you should apply for study permit in LA and my advise will be to apply with the medical done. I researched online and some facebook pages everyone there is saying that LA office processing is much faster compared to New York's. Why are you not applying in canada ? you are in canada and if you apply online in canada the processing time is 15 days.

You should add their profile and then we can ask others who applied to LA consulate to add their's profile too.

Hello,
Happy New Year,
I hope everything is going OK,
any updates regarding to your LA study permit application ?

for me
I am a visitor to Canada 15 months ago till now (with my family)
I got an admission offer from the University of Calgary, so I applied for study permit online, but they refused it as it done from within Canada ...
now, I intended to apply to LA
does anyone of you has a similar case ?
should I send my application by mail ? or I can apply online to LA to save time ?
thanks in advance
