Hi, I applied for study permit at the end of may and it was denied I then reapplied in june and it was denied a second time. I'm now considering applying for express entry as I have all the requirements, how soon can I do that and is the study permit denial going to affect my express entry application.

Others can comment but No reason why you cannot apply now for EE if you qualify given the difference between study permit and EE would be one was temporary, the other for PR.

By that meaning for the study permit maybe your case was not convincing enough re course choice or your intentions in studying in Canada whereas EE is about qualifying for PR a whole different set of criteria. Be sure to be honest with any questions about previous visa/permit denials as up to you to declare not them to find out.

Thank you for your response, reason for the denial in both cases was that they're not convinced I would be leaving Canada after my studies even though my intention was to return and in my second application I had a letter from my employer stating that I was on a study leave with pay and hence will need to come back and work for the company for at least four years before I'm free to leave.

The chances of denial for express entry are very minimal, once you are able to meet the average score for a draw you're automatically sent an ITA then comes the task of you providing documents to back up all the information you filled out in your profile, once you can provide all documents and you meet all the conditions then you're good to go but if you're unable to provide documents then you will most likely be denied. I'm in Nigeria.

Any one with an Advice
I applied for a study Visa and was denied due to no family ties in Canada and my home country(Nigeria) and stated they are not convinced I will return to my home country. Can I try Express Entry? If yes; how long can I wait to re-apply. Will there be any implications?

You can apply for Express Entry if you are eligible. It is permanent residency vs. study permits (temporary visas) so you don’t prove family ties/return to home country. Want 67 points for eligibility & 470 CRS score.
