Dear Gurus,

Here is my background

I have BE IT 4 yrs course from Nepal

I have completed my MBA in 2010 in USA.

I have one full year work experience as business consultant and 2 years of work experience as Restaurant Manager/ Network Admn.

I am planning to apply as Internet cafe manager.

All these experience is between my bachelors and masters back in my country.

I have 7 band in ielts.

My wife has MBA.

I did the assessment and got 71 points.

I have collected all the documents. But i am afraid my application will be rejected because i dont have hotel management course or diploma.

Should i apply now for the category now 0631 or should i wait till JUly 2011 and apply for with my management experience.

But i am not sure that in 2011, the management category will be removed or not.

Can you please help me.

Thanks,

hi sanz, as to how i understand my agent, it doesn't matter what your course is, as along as you are a degree holder, it is the work experience that counts. If you have performed all the duties and responsibilities that fall under your NOC, you can apply and apply as soon as possible coz the piling up of applicants delayed all the processing time. Wishing you all the luck.

Than you besty for your thought ful answer.

Can any one respond me who was in similar situation and whose PR is in the process.

By the way Do they ask for pay check from employer??

Hi Samz..

pls do one thing in mind that during my interview they asked me why am i doing a job that is not related to my studies..

I just had an interview 3 days bak..mine is also a similar noc ie 0632 & qualification MBA..

so get an experts advice bedore going through..

Saathi, we have similar situation. I applied back in august 10 and already got the PER (positive review), under the same circumstances. As long as you can prove that you have required duties and responsibilities mentioned in their website, you are not required to have degree on that field.

Go ahead and apply now since the CAP is not filled yet.

Any questions let me know.

Hi,

Thank you so much.....by the way do they ask for the paychek....from employer..

i hope you understand what i mean.. ;D I will keep you updatedd...i will send my form on Monday

Thanks,

They didn't asked but we send them just to make sure. But I think employer's letter should be enough. Because I do not believe that many people will save their pay stub for a long time, especially when they are working on a different job now.

Good luck.

Dear Sanz,

In addition to my answer in your other thread, And as much as I hope cforcanada opinion is true, and though 0631 is not a regulated job in canada, I believe employment requirement is stated clearly in HRSDC site and requires a degree in hospitality. This is the basis for judgment for CIC.

Good luck,

14. Does my work experience have to be related to my education in order to be recognized?
Your work experience does not have to be related to your education, as long as you are performing or have performed the duties of the occupation for which you are claiming points.

I was this in one of the FAQ's pls suggest.

I was hoping to send my form this monday

From where you found this FAQ? If it's from any CIC or HRSDC site, then you are good to go, if it's from this forum or others, i don't think this will stand out once your file is reviewed.

If you believe your file is ready, and you are willing to take this risk, then go ahead and let's hope all works for you.

Cheers!
