Hello, I got accepted in Ryerson University for the MEng program in Computer Network and I have a deadline to accept or decline the offer due to February 24th, but I also applied to other Universities and I am still waiting for their decisions. I want to know if I can accept the offer now and if ask for a release later if I got admitted in a program I like more

Thank you

Nothing comes for free. Most likely, school will ask you to deposit a small amount as well.

I am in the same situation. Let me know if you have any info regarding this

Somebody on reddit told me:
"I don't think you have to pay a fee if you withdraw for any reason. I'm just going off of what I remember from when I applied to university, but that's for undergrad. I'm not too sure if the same rules apply for grad school or not. Have you tried contacting admissions yet? They probably have a better idea and would give you a more accurate answer."

I sent an email to the graduate admission office at ryerson, I will post their response when I get one.

Okay you don't ask these things to the university. Like why would they tell you it's okay to do that, they lose business right?

check your admission letter, it would talk about a deposit and a fee deposit deadline.

For Concordia the deposit was 250$, 200$ for Dalhousie and no deposit for uOttawa & Western. So depends upon the university.

AGAIN, read the admission letter

Took 1 second to Google and 5 seconds to locate the link

You're welcome!

For Computer Networks, you pay a deposit of 1000$ and you obviously lose it if you withdraw from the program

Hi!, I know this is old post, but I have also applied for MEng Computer Networks Program and eagerly waiting for the decision. Could you kindly share your profile, I just want to get the idea of what university expects from the students who get selected.
