I am Still waiting my transcripts to arrive and ECA and giving my IELTS exam again which is due to 13th June 2015.

Can you please guide me with the funds.

My father have FD of Rs. 15 lakhs, will that be accepted as proof of funds.

I, My father and my wife have a joint account, will that be useful, but it does not have enough cash.

My father will be supporting me through out the Canada process, can we show affidavit confirming the money will come from him?

Need urgent assistance on this.

No it can't be used. CIC has specifically said that the applicant should have the fund...not borrowed.

I have a similar question as I am having FD that is also having my father name and mine is that is valid.

Is this a Joint FD? If so I suggest you to have the FD transfered on your Name.

Second that. Your father needs to transfer the money into an account that is in your name.

However, a sudden transfer like this will raise likely raise a few flags with CIC. Make sure you include a statutory declaration in your PR application by your father that says that he has gifted you the money and does not expect it back.

So, the statutory warning is enough? I mean I have an ITA right now but I am considering rejecting it because the money was a joint account before this. It is in my account now, but I don't want to risk a denial. The same amount of money was in an account with my name on it a year ago, maybe if I attach those statements to prove that it is my money and is being gifted to me?
