There is nothing preventing you from applying for Express Entry under FSW category if you meet the minimum requirements. Whether you will get ITA or not depends on the CRS you are able to claim. Read through basic requirements of express entry and determine for yourself if you meet the eligibility.
Thank you so much for your response. So is there any different procedure to follow being a student? Is there a source where I could research more on this? Please let me know.
Thank you.

Well, I guess that F1 holders are second only to H1B holders among the Express Entry applicants from the US.
Nothing prevents you from applying. The sooner, the better. Don't waste your time on H1 lottery if you can.
Also, it should be much easier to verify a US degree via WES (easier to obtain transcripts, etc), and a US OPT job/internship at least in personal history might add credibility.

Being an F1 means am still studying..what credentials / certificate will WES be evaluating, since am not done with studies?. I see that the option for F1 is through express entry.

What approach is opened to F1 holders in US to apply for PR in Canada?.
same approach for all other applicants; Canada does not consider your US status in determining your eligibility.

They will need completed transcripts of the degree you have completed.

Hello, I am a PR of Canada and I live in Windsor right across the border from Detroit. I am also on an F1 status in the US working on CPT in Detroit.
Can I travel to US on F1 status frequently to work while staying in Canada?
If so, is it risky?
My stamp is expired but as per the automatic revalidation terms, I can be outside of US for a maximum of 30 days in a row. But since I will be travelling to US often, I'm assuming that it won't be an issue.
Please advise if anybody has some information.
Thanks!
