Hi Right!

Thanks for the reply. I found some people saying on net that to qualify as an Electrician I have had an apprenticeship for 4 to 5 years. Is that true? I have done 4 years of Bachelors of Electrical Engineering degree but I didnt have any apprenticeship. But I have 4+ years of work experience as an Electrician in hospital. Please provide your thoughts. Thanks much.

Like I said before you qualified under the educational eligibility

I dont know any area of the eligibility criteria that talk on apprentiship.

If you dont have a degree but went thru an oapprenticeship is same as degree and even the point for a degree is more than that of apprenticeship.

My own suggestion for you is to look at other qualifying areas like
1. Marriage (Spouse qualification)
2.IELTS
3.FUNDS
4. Age

If your experience is within past 10 years then you are good to go. Don't worry about apprtenticeship. When PR is granted you can work as an Electrical Engieer in Canada after getting the Prof. Engineer (PE) registration.

Good luck

wxyz,
For ur posts it can be clearly determined that u do not have much knowledge in immigration matters and just in 3 months u have crossed 600 posts just to increase ur post count.
In this post u say u r a electrical engineer and in todays post u claim u are a aeronautical engineer.
I think u should rename ur user name as ABCD AS U HAVE NOT REACHED WXYZ.

that's what my husband plans to do. he's an electrical engineer with 5 years experience.

what you need to do is find the regulating body for Electrical Engineers or Electricians in the province you intend to settle in. Try this link

http://www.credentials.gc.ca/

and click on "Working in Canada Tool" on the left side. just follow instructions and you will get the info you need.

we intend to settle in Saskatchewan, to be recognized as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer there you need to submit your transcript of records from University together with a course syllabus/description. You can have that assessed to see if it meets Canadian standards for education of electricians.

as for your previous work experience, you need to secure from your previous job a certification where your inclusive dates of employment are indicates as well as a detailed job description. you can also have this asssessed if this can be considered equivalent to an apprenticeship.

i guess it's basically the same across all provinces, keep in mind that engineering jobs and electrician jobs are regulated in most provinces so you need to take an exam to be certified. There's also what they call Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Certification, you can take the test for this after you have passed at the provincial level. If you have this you can work at any province of your choosing as an Electrician.

o my word man....

you are after me. anyway to clear your narrow mind i said i was selected for pakistan airforce as an aeronautical engineer and i went there but i left air force as i didn't like in there. and yes i am electrical engineer.

what a shallow minded person are you bringing up my old post. you got nothing to do with someone's personal life anyway.

my word i can't beleive this.

i remember you are launching this attack as a revenge when i wrote about your racist thread regarding polygamy and that racist thread was closed down.

i had a good laugh on these coments "u do not have much knowledge in immigration matters and just in 3 months u have crossed 600 posts just to increase ur post count" ,

looking at my posts anybody can learn a lot not regarding just immigration but how to be social and friendly and helping. ask people who have benefited from my posts.

shame on you...........you are such a little person
