Hello Fellow Members,

Here is the situation:

My brother applied for a Canada Visitor visa on last Sunday along with his wife, the application was successfully submitted and they may receive a passport request at any time this week.
Now, because of some reasons, my friend who is a primary applicant can't send the passport, so in this case, can the secondary applicant who is his wife who applied as a dependent send the passport without him?
If yes, what is the process?
If not, do we need to send both the passports together because it was applied as a dependent?

Appreciate your help.

Thank you,
Prasad Falke

Yes It is possible , PPR letters will be issued to individuals , your friend and dependant .... so with that letter you can always send passports separately with in 1 month from the date of letter ...

Thank you for your response. Is there a website link or something we can use as a reference? We just want to complete the process safely without any issues.

Nothing urgent here. It's best to cross each bridge as it comes! If they applied just two days ago, it's quite premature to expect passport requests so soon.

Each application is assessed individually. If approved, IRCC will send separate passport request letters for each application
