Can Dependent apply for a job while application for FSWP is in progress

Dear all,

I need one clarification .

I have recently applied under FSWP as principal applicant and searching for job side by side.
My question is can my wife apply for a job who is dependent in my application and if she gets job , will it be beneficial for me in getting PR?

The dependent would look for a job just like anyone else does. Apply for jobs through reputable web sites such as monster.ca and workopolis. Apply for jobs directly with employers (large companies always post at least some jobs on their web sites).
