My friend went from his business course to a semester in finance but as he didn't liked he came back in the business course.. Now hes applying for the post graduate work permit and he was wondering if this move will reduce his duration of PGWP...

In fall of 2010- he was a business student.

in winter of 2011- he was a finance students.

fall 2011- business student.

winters 2012- Graduated as a business student..

Will he be given less than 3 years of work permit due to his course change?

My understanding is that the duration of his course is 8 months or 2 semester or 1 Year.
So he is eligible only for 8 months - 12 months PGWP.

His course is for 2 years buddy.. its 4 semesters 16 months in total.. He is eligible for a 3 years work permit but I want to know that because he changed his course in the 2nd semester and changed back into his original one would that be an issue...
