Can caregiver return to previous employer if work permit not expired?

If an employer has no need for his caregiver for six months and the caregiver finds another job with a new work permit for 6 months, can the caregiver return with his previous employer if the time on the permit with the first employer has not expired? Anybody experienced this?

You should call the call centre to verify but from what I have heard, when you get a new work permit, it renders your old work permit invalid and you can not go back to the old employer without getting a new work permit for the old employer again.

Leon is right. The previous employer will have to re-do the whole process again (ad/LMO) if the caregiver is still under the program (not OWP holder yet). Once the caregiver gets a new WP the old WP is no longer valid.
