Can anyone shed some light on how the interview process goes?

I was notified today that my husband is going to be requested for an interview. What usually happens, I know they ask personal questions (What size of the bed does she sleep on, etc) How soon after the interview do we hear whether we pass or not? Are they mean and reject a lot of people? should I be worried that they're asking him for an interview. When should we expect the interview to be if they sent us a letter on Nov. 5th?

The visa officer will ask personal questions for sure. He or she will expect your husband to know all about your life in Canada. They also ask a lot of questions just following what was written in the application forms, so your husband should review them if possible before the interview.

If the visa officer is satisfied with the answers, he or she might tell your husband that right away. If not, there is no way to know how long it will take. We got our answer about 3 weeks after the interview.

My wife had her interview last Wednesday. Nov 4th. She got the PPR in Nov 8th.

To prepare her for the interview, we reviewed all the questions in 2015 tracking sheet "link is in my signature".
We also tried to predict the areas of concern in our story/application and ensured that we have a documented answer for that. I mean by that, any part of your story that is not a norm in your or your husband culture.

99% of the questions in the interview were from what we prapred ourselves for.

He didn't ask her a lot of personal questions about me. Especially when she informed him that talking about the personal relationship in details is not something that our culture accepts and she is not welling to answer any of those questions.

Check the "appeals" thread - people have posted questions they were asked. It might help you get an idea. Also, you may want to order your husband's GCMS notes to see the officer's reasons for requesting an interview. It costs $5 and takes 30 days to receive them.

-What time my husband leaves for work in the morning and time he returns
-What my husband enjoys doing
-Who does the cooking
-What side of the bed he sleeps
- His likes and dislikes
-How many people attended our wedding
-Honey moon
- What i dislike about my husband etc
