i worked in uk and that company has bust coz of financial crisis in 2008.What do u think if i send my bank statement showing my wages coming from that company and moreover as i am in pakistan at the moment and bank account has closed as well,so will they carry out verification about my bank statement?

Simply the requirement is to provide proof that you possess the required amount (unencumbered-enabling you to carry these funds to Canada with you.), which can be provided with out bank statement of x number of months- but current balance from responsible bank authority.

You need previous record of your bank account (showing transactions) only if they(CIO or VO) ask.

MRBAIG you didnt understand the question, he is asking about the bank statement to show his wages from his past employment not for the proof of funds.


Honeyjee they wont carry out any verification on the statement as long as you provide them the original statements from the bank like not online statement.

Are you intending to use the bank statement to show proof of funds, or to show proof of employment?

If it is for proof of funds, then no. CIC has specific requirements of the documents required for this. If it is the latter, then you need to produce more documents to cover the details listed in the checklist, and accompanied with a letter of explanation.
