Does anyone know whether the 1 year full-time skilled work experience points for the FOREIGN SKILLED WORK EXPERIENCE and/or the 1-year full-time skilled work experience points available in the CANADIAN ADAPTABILITY section can be in the form of 1-year full-time equivalence? ie. 2-years part-time (instead of the 1yr fulltime) for both categories??

Basically: Can I have part-time experience equivalent to 1 year full-time work in BOTH of the aforementioned categories??

And also... what number of average hours/week over 2 years would I need to have to be equiv to 1 year fulltime?

anyone?

this is super importannnnt!!

1. Yes. Minimum of 1560 hours equals 1 year.

I second that PMM.....

Your work experience must be:

at least one year (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships, etc. do not count),
in the same occupation, and
within the last 10 years,
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed. If you do not show that your experience meets the description in the NOC, we will refuse your application.

1560?

So basically fulltime is considered to be 30hrs/week x all 52 weeks?

...So part-time is 15hrs/week x 104 weeks?

Thats it?

Now here's the tricky thing...

What if I have 1.5 yrs full-time (equivalent) in 1 occupation, and 6 months (full-time equiv) in another occupation, but both occupations fall under the same NOC?

Would that count as 2 years (FTE) in total? (since theyre both in the same NOC group?_)

ps. For points in the CANADIAN ADAPTABILITY section (ie. up to 10 points), will they also take part-time experience in Canada that is FTE??

Does anyone know the answer to the question below:???? It;s a little tricky...

What if I have 1.5 yrs full-time (equivalent) in 1 occupation title, and 6 months (full-time equiv) in another occupation title/listed role, but both occupation titles fall under the same NOC?

Would that count as 2 years (FTE) in total? (since theyre both in the same NOC group? and both listed in the list of possible role titles)

Hi PMM,

Are you sure CANADIAN ADAPTABILITY work experience points can also be FTE for part-time work? Is it exactly the same as the SKILLED WORK EXPERIENCE points (which it states clearly can be FTE, but it doesnt state that specifically for the 10 points for Canadian Adapatability) ?

....because I have 1750 continuous skilled work (NOC level A) hours in Canada over 2 years...

Will this give me the full 10 points for CANADIAN ADAPTABILITY ?

THANKS.

If your roles are different from the two jobs, then probably you may not say them to be same NOC, first make sure you satisfy the roles fully.
since you said, you have 1750 hours of continuous work hours in Canada over 2 years. this satisfies the 1560 hours mentioned as per CIC requirements, so I am of the assumption that you should be awarded the full adaptability points.
I may not be 100% sure, please contact seniors for a detailed clarification.
