Can any one brief me about the process to apply for express entry

Hi all,

This is my first try to apply for Canada PR through express entry. So any body can brief me about the process and steps to proceed. I have a question in my mind.
- Applying through consultancy or by own??? which is better option

Can someone please guide me as am planning to apply for Express Entry program.

Can you please clarify the below?

1)I have created a account in MYCiC today. Since i havent taken ielts exam i didnt proceed to do the assessment. My exam date is by August. In this meantime,please let me know whether i can apply for ECA assessment and send it to review?

2) I have got a link to apply ECA - http learn.utoronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Educational-Credential-Assessment-CDN-Immigration-Programs_May-2015.pdf

Is this the right link to apply? and how do i pay for the same? and how will the canadian university track my educational assessment with respect to the application number which i dont have as of now.

Hi all,

I have a query regarding education and experience relevancy. My spouse did her Bachelor of Commerce (2006) and MBA (Finance) in 2008. Presently she is working with a Private Accounting Company for a Chartered Accountant for the past more than two years. Since she is not a Chartered accountant so we have zeroed in on NOC 1311 to apply under Express Entry as she can't apply under NOC 1111 as that NOC specifically applies to applicants having Chartered Accountant certification under their belt. However, a consultant has suggested that she is overqualified for the NOC 1311 (Accounting technicians and bookkeepers) and she will end up jeopardizing her chances of getting an ITA. It is obvious why would immigration authorities award points for education which is not at all required. Hence, I seek clarification from the forum.

Kindly help...

ECA can be done concurrently with IELTS - they have zero dependency on each other.

For ECA, there are multiple agencies that can help you. (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp). The one you have chosen will also work but the most popular agency among international applicants is WES because of standardized easy-to-follow processes and quick turnaround times. They also help you get a free provisional assessment before actually starting the process. See here (http://www.wes.org/ca/immigrants/preliminary.asp)
