Can an Indian passport holder visiting USA (On B2 VISA) apply for Canadian tourist visa from USA and get it?

I’m struggling to find this out…is there a way someone can clarify this for me.

All in my family have Canada tourist VISA except for the 2 year old child but my 2 year old child has a USA tourist visa.

I have a Canadian work visa and I'm in Canada now.

Can they all travel to USA and apply for Canada visa for her (2 year old child) and get the Canada VISA stamped at a local Canadian embassy or border?

Sure. Technically they can do that assuming everyone in the family has a USA tourist visa.

Be aware that processing times can be many many months and there's never a guarantee of approval. I would personally apply from the home country instead.

@shankarbala Use the new portal when applying. Make sure to mention current residence as USA and status as visitor. Also make sure to check the box that says that you hold a valid non-immigrant US visa. There's a good chance it'll get processed very quickly. Of course do that only once you're in US.

You're forgetting the application will be processed under Can+. Even without Can+, the average time for USA is far lower than India - less than 1/10th that of India.

Do you think I should risk moving them to the USA on visit visa and apply for my 2 year old childs Canada visit VISA from there to beat the visa processing time as compared to India? Of course the comment saying that I she might get a rejection is bothering me...

I personally think it's unlikely you'll get a rejection for a 2 year old child. There's a good chance it'll be processed quickly (Can+ promisses in a few days and even without Can+ the average time for visit visas applied from within USA is 29 days) but there's no absolute guarantee.

The call is yours to make. Depends on how desperate you are and how much money you are willing to lose. You don't have to move the whole family to the USA. Just the kid and another adult, like your wife, should be fine.

I feel the same about rejection...we had anyway planned for the October USA trip to visit our family there. Like you said there is no guarantee and no harm trying from USA given the processing time is low as compared to India. Thanks so much for your inputs.
