can also apply for a visitor visa for my sponsored pr applicant wife?

Hi

I am a Canadian citizen who was living/working in India for two years. I got married to an Indian one year ago.
I received a job offer back in Toronto for whiich I am returning.

I have applied for her PR VISA file recd 25tgh Nov 2013. My sponsorship approval arrived around 28th Dec 2013
.so the file would be in Delhi now.

Problem is that I have to join work in toronto in the next 10days.

What are the chances of my wife getting a visitor visa? She has been rejected once n the grounds of limited proof of relationship and purpose of cost. I had provided our marriage certificate.

Any help will be use full we r really upset and want to be together. The job offer is too good to pass on..and they have given me a 5 month time to join I cannot extend anymore.
 
Once your wife has her PR application in process, it will be much much harder for her to get a TRV since CIC will believe she will not leave Canada once she enters. She will have a greater tie to Canada with you in Canada than to India. You may be able to get a TRV for her if you can prove your wife have to go back to India.

I heard exactly opposite opinion. When you get married and have applied for sponsorship, the chances that she will get a visitors visa are much higher.

I agree there will be some cases of spouse being able to get TRV after PR application have been submitted. However these are very very small cases. The purpose of TRV is to temporary visit Canada and must leave at end of the scheduled visit. CIC will have to be very convinced that the spouse will in fact leave Canada, leaving behind her husband/wife. If there is any hint of a doubt on CIC's part, they will deny TRV since PR applications meant that the spouse will permanently move to Canada. Hard to convince CIC agents otherwise if the spouse is intending to move to Canada permanently.

I knew the same thing as Leopold_31 (and also read it here somewhere), that a visitor visa for the sponsored spouse is easy to obtain, especially because they have an ongoing application for PR.. it actually makes sense, you wouldn't want to overstay your visa because that would ruin your PR application too so it obviously makes sense to follow the rules :-\

But they are worried that incase the PR gets refused the person will stay in Canada anyways. They dont wanna go through the hassle of tracking and deporting somebody when they can just not allow her into the countri until its proven she meets the requirements etc
 
Yeah so i checked the TRV section of this forum too and now my hopes are very low.. you're right Spikey92, they're going to be worried that you'll overstay especially if your PR visa gets rejected.. still, i found some others saying that especially if you're currently waiting for PR too, you have higher chances on being granted a TRV .. Also depends on the VO that reviews your file and on the VAC (location).. more difficult for Asia, Africa, etc..

I wanted to visit my husband this summer thanks to a TRV but apparently i need to change my plans :(

i also have a bad situation.. my mother is deceased, my dad & uncle & aunt are all in Germany living there (they're visiting me just for Christmas, Easter, during summer a bit and that's all).. rest of the family is here (in Romania) but the closest relatives are in Germany. I have a job and a house, i'm paying the bills, i have a savings account etc but that's all i can submit as proof that i'll return to Romania after visiting my husband..

i'll still apply but i won't get my hopes up.. this whole CIC mess gives me headaches >:(
 
Thanks for the replies.. I am in two minds but I want to reapply. A consultant i was speaking to mentioned i should show them letters and submit my pr file number.

The last rejection was based ob unclear purpose of visit and proof of relationship. I assume all other criteria were met by us.
So i am sending them our wedding pics..bank statwments and and home lease which has been signed Jan 2014 in her name.

Anything else i can supply?
