Can a dependant do a full-time job before CIC grants Immigration

Hello All,

I applied for my parents sponsorship in 2010 with 2 dependents (my brothers). There were some delays in our application but it should complete in another year and half, my question is can my brother who is a dependant can go do a full time job since he is done university now, he wants to go to Dubai and work there till CIC completes the immigration process, would it impact our case? will he no longer be considered a dependent if he starts working now?currently my family lives in Pakistan.

Yes - he can work and remain a dependent. However he cannot get married or enter into a common law relationship.
