Calling High Comssion in Singapore

Hello,

I applied to sponsor my spouse from Vietnam in May 2016. Our application was sent to Singpaore August 1st. So far this is what I can see online:

We received ... application for permanent residence on May 30, 2016.
We started processing ... application on August 1, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

Has anyone tried calling the High Commission in Singapore to ask for an update? Do they give information like how long the case might take? It doesn't list anything about receiving all the documents, background check, interview etc. so does that mean that no one is actively working on my application yet?

Way too early to be expecting updates, given you're only 5 months in. If you want updates, you should order GCMS notes.

They'll never tell you how long it will take or anything. They'll only contact you if you're on interview queue or they want additional documents.
