While the turnout was lower than expected, at least there were workers (and I use the term loosely) in the MP's office that day to at least see those protesting. Had it been on a weekend, there may have been more `outside', but without anyone `inside'...what would be the point?

The point would have been to alert the media and public opinion. The MPs will move only if they think they might lose their next election and this is done by alerting the public opinion. The working people inside are already very aware of the waiting times. Its not them we have to convince.
That said, kudos to the people who took the time to be there.
