Hey guys,

My PGWP will expire in 30 days and I got AOR from OINP on June 8th.

I called OINP yesterday for an update of my application. A lady picked up the phone and told me my application is in the decision phase, but she wouldn't tell me how long I'd have to wait for the nomination. If what she said was true, I think I should've received an email from OINP telling me that my application is now in decision phase. But I haven't received any call or email from OINP.

I called OINP again. A young guy picks up the phone and asked for my file number. After I told him, he said my application is still in queue and not in decision phase yet. I am really confused. Who shall I believe and why OINP ppl are giving different answers?????????

Did she ask you for your file number before she told you it's in the "decision phase"?

NO. She only asked for my name.
Then I wouldn't pay attention to what she said.

Your name, unless it is so unique that no one else in the world has it, is irrelevant.
Even if she typed in your name, chances are at least one other application would pop up.
And even if that DID happen, she could have just as easily asked you for your file number to be able to check the correct person/application.
