Hello,

I have a question. I am the sponsor. My wife has her interview in a couple of days. Looking at my forms, I find some things that are making me very stressed. In my relationship story, I wrote our wedding date got fixed in May. But in my wife's story it says end of April. Is this sort of thing a big deal? If they ask, what is the best way to answer them? We are a genuine couple, there is nothing we lied about intentionally. Please help me out asap!

Why do you have two different answers?

Because a lof of things happened in the end of April and May and we don't remember the exact dates when these things happened.

This might be one of the questions they will ask you. One different answer can make them refuse the residency. Be prepared before you guys go in.

Good luck!

I applied for spouse visa in March 2017, passed the medical exam in April 2017 , but till now I have not received any request to submit background schedule A form and online status says "your application is in progress and the next step is to conduct a background check" not sure what's going on :(

Inconsistencies like this are one of the things that VOs look for as an indication of an ingenuous relationship. Some seem to take great delight in getting you flustered and tripping you up. Make sure you have a good explanation ready for the discrepancy. I'm not sure if "because a lot of things happened .." is going to fly, even though it's true. You may not remember the exact date, but you will remember that it was the time that you went to the park and sat in the shade of a big elm tree after spending the day picking wild raspberries and saskatoons with your good friends Peter and Paulette.
