Hi,
I would like to share my experience here and looking for some expert advise as well.
I had received Ontario PT on 25th Sept , sent documents on 14th Oct and received AOR on 15th Nov.
Today I received call from OOPNP office saying , my NOC code (2173) does not match roles n responsibilities mentioned in my experience letter provided by my Canadian Employer and they are not satisfied with it and mentioned that NOC code (2282) does match my duties mentioned in Exp. letter and earlier in Dec 2013 , my WP was issued with same NOC experience. I was very delighted that she was very polite and at-least called to invite for changing the NOC. She sent me email post our discussion on call.
So my queries to group and experts here is
> Have anybody experienced similar situation and whether changing the NOC for my Canada Exp. will change my EE profile ineligible or something?
> Is it good idea to attach a covering letter with confirmation of updating NOC and providing explanation of why I chose NOC 2173 earlier ?

As noted during our telephone call, you have selected NOC 2173 as the appropriate classification of your position with Redknee Canada. The OINP must be satisfied that you have performed a substantial number of the duties listed under the lead statement and main duties for your selected NOC in order to consider you eligible for nomination. I am not satisfied that NOC 2173 is the appropriate NOC for your position
We invite you to review the lead statement and main duties under NOC 2282, which is classified as a high-skilled position and as such may satisfy the requirements of our program.The employer support letter that you have provided from Canadian Employer demonstrates that you have performed a substantial number of the duties listed under the lead statement and main duties for NOC 2282.
Note that work permit issued to you on December 2013 indicates your position as “User Support Officer”, which may be indicative of a work permit approval under NOC 2282. In order for Canadian work experience to be considered eligible under the Human Capital Priorities Stream, applicants must demonstrate that they held the appropriate work authorization.
Kindly provide copies of the following information / documentation by return email:
Confirmation of whether you will be maintaining your selection of NOC 2173 in your EE profile, or whether having reviewed NOC 2282 and the documentation related to your work permit, you will be updating your NOC in your EE profile;
- Should you choose to update your NOC selection, documentation confirming the change to your EE profile, such as a screen shot;
- Should you choose to maintain your NOC selection, an updated employer support letter demonstrating how your duties fall within NOC 2173;
