Didn't u submit everything in ur applications including t4,NOA etc. Why did they request for those documents again???? i haven't seen anyone here that attended interview for CEC. U might need a USA visa to go to NewYork. I wish u all the best and keeping fingers crossed for u. pls keep update on how it went. Good luck

Paystubs are certainly helpful but be sure to take all the documents they have requested. Did they specify the format(original or copy)? If you have online banking, you can print your statements for however long they asked for or ask your bank. The bank may charge you for it, but mention that it's been requested by the Canadian Consulate and see if they may waive the fee. Goodluck with everything.

If your interview is weeks away, you can also request caips/GCMS notes and see what the visa officer's notes say about the reason for the interview. Try not to worry though...sometimes interviews are also conducted for quality assurance purposes.

And what about your T4 and bank statements?

Assuming you have enough time, request your CAIPS/GCMS notes to find out why you were selected for an interview. As SenioritaBella noted, it could just be random selection.

I'm not familiar with the timeline of interviews, however, if you are still interested in getting your caips/gcms notes, the link is http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

It would be really wise of you to apply GCMS notes right away so you can see the correspondence to understand the reasoning behind the interview call.

I highly doubt about quality assurance thing for the interview. Canadian Embassies don;t call for interviews unless they are having few issues understanding the case and need more clarification. In your case everything should be good but there are certain things that VO is not clear about and that's why they would like an explanation about that. So, expect questions and don;t be scared or confused.

Actually in certain cases call for an interview can be a good sign because if VO have trouble understanding specifics about your case or something doesn;t add up, they can simply refuse the case against the points criteria. But if they call you for an interview means they accept you conditionally, depending how can you prove those missing details in the face to face interview.

So, that's why it would be a wise decision to know what they are actually looking for by ordering your CAIPS/GCMS.
