Can someone help me out.
Work in a Fintech company and my job role entails POS terminal support.
Under what NOC does this fall into as 2282 states that one must have a computer science background which i do not have.

That's awesome! Congrats on that!
Unfortunately, Convergys do not want to sign me a reference letter that will be staiting my actual duties, as u've got in your example...
I am also working at convergys as technical support specialist, Its been almost 6 months and I have been lil worried now, do they provide reference letter with duties. Did you end up getting letter and PR?? Please help or I should look for other job else my lot of time will be wasted

Anyone who is wondering if Convergys provides Reference letter here is your answer:

* Contact HR Assist
* Leave a voicemail with your name, employee ID, preferred contact method
* Reason for the call should be Employee verification letter
* If your preferred contact method is email, they will send you a very generic letter via email
* Reply to the email and mention you want number of hours worked per week, salary, NOC and duties and resposibities listed in the letter
* They will get back to you with a proper format for PR purpose

Just putting this out there since this may help someone. No one replied to my message when i needed help so I can understand this information would be helpful to someone who is in the same boat as I was few years ago.

Hello! Thanks a lot for putting this information. I'm also an ex-cvg employee. Can you please share HR Direct Phone Number or email ID?

How much time did it take you to get the letter?

yes, you are eligible

I have a question. I work for transcom as tech support (work from home) here in canada. Am I eligible for CEC even if the company is based in the USA? I don’t think they have an office here in Canada.

Appreciate any response.

Hello Mr B , I too got a job opportunity to work as Cable tech support for Rogers by Sykes work from home. The HR lady said that the NoC code will be customer support agent. However the work which we will be doing is basic troubleshooting for cable tv which I guess comes under technical support. Is she right ? Could you confirm if I can apply for my pr with this experience as type b? Appreciate your help in advance.
