Hello Friends,

I was surprised after talk to CIC agent yesterday, she comment that CIC will take the decision on my file around November or December. I received my medical 01 July and letter of intent to live out side of Quebec which I responds on 6 July and my ecas is update with medical received on 11 July. Now I am not clear why she said like that.

Pls reply friend if any one have face the same

I'm guessing the letter (or anything requiring another review) has just put you at the bottom of the pile. Assuming they are going top-to-bottom and have a look at each application every ~ 6 months (AOR->medical ~ 6 months, medical received->ppr ~ 6 months) that would put your application in the queue for early December, which seems to be in line with what you've been told.

Hi friend
Thanks for reply. If so then why CIC is giving item one 30 day in the letter. And if we late the will not going to consider the letter.

They also gave us 30 days for MR, and it's been over 180 days since. We can't be late but they can be as late as they like...
If I were you, I'd rather disregard whatever the call center said. You know how trustworthy they are, be it good or bad news.

I've just called CIC regarding my application. They've told me they had received the last documents about 5 months ago (additional common-law relationship declarations) and it's going to be a little bit more wait because of that. This seems to support my ~6 months theory.

This is what they tell everyone. CIC FAQ says it can take up to 3 months for next stage after medical.
But that never happen for delayed applicants (like June applicants) who are currently in month 14th, and everything in application is ready to go.

My next stage started 2 weeks after medical. (as soon as officer opens the file)

I second that, even I was told to call back in November if I do not any news by then. It is just a preset time line which the call centre follows. Do not worry about this It is just a matter of time when an officer will review your file and when he/she see the documents you have sent upon request from CIC they will send you PPR. I got MR on Mar 31, 2015 and doctor office sent my results on April 13, 2015. My ecas updated MR results on July 13, 2015 and I got PPR July 28, 2015

I am in the similar situation. I submitted my letter regarding intention to move out of Quebec in first week of May. I called CIC call center today and they told me that my application was finalized yesterday. Everything seems to be okay now. And i should be getting PPR very soon.

I submitted a case specific enquiry on Monday to ask the reason for the delay as I had crossed the normal processing time and there is no action outstanding at my end. I just wanted to know why my application is taking longer than normal processing time and whether its a good idea to reach out to my local MP as it's been more than 6 months since any change in my application status and I'm at the end of my wits because of the delay.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for your comment so means CIC will take three month from you letter.

My ECAS reflected the line "Medical has been received" on 10-Mar-2015.
No, I'm in Canada.
