calgary vs toronto

Heya ppl,

I landed in calgary in March with no luck in job as yet and now the winter has set in and itz freezing temp and im contemplating moving to toronto. Ny one who has made this kinda move before or has an idea about both the cities please share ur views on which is more better. Im totally confused.

Many of them say calgary is cheaper, better to buy ur first car, home etc compared to toronto where the rates are higher.

nyone having ny info pls do suggest pros n cons...

Engg companies are laying off people in alberta without any notice. Oil price also going down. Not good sign for new engineers in Alberta now.

what is your strategy of job search? did you attend any interviews? doing any survival jobs?

With family, me n spouse. At present doing part time contract job in an unrelated field to mine. Basically from it/admin background.
