Hi guys i just want to share my ecas Timeline it says complete!

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 6, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 16, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on February 22, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on April 20, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 28, 2018 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on April 24, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on May 28, 2018 at 1:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
6. You became a Canadian citizen on May 28, 2018.

How much time did it took in Oath Ceremony? Do they allow minor inside?

The Oath Ceremony took atlist 1hour and half. Minor is allowed inside the building but you need to make it sure that you can handle if your child cries or you can bring someone to take care so that you can feel the ceremony. Good luck!

I had my exam in March. My citizenship application status has just been updated to "Decision Made". I have not received any e-mail regarding the oath invite though. Would you have any idea what it means? How long would it usually take to get the invite?

So, I just checked my ECAS like 10 minutes ago and I am so happy to share with you my VERY VERY GOOD NEWS.
Here is what my ECAS says, this is a family app with myself and spouse only. Our child is already a Canadian.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 21, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on January 04, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on May 31, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on July 30, 2018 at 1:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

So, here's the thing. Please re-read number 4. We NEVER had our test yet, so what we are actually expecting and waiting for is our Test Invite for roughly 5 months now after our app is IP since January 4, but both of our ECAS show that we have to appear and take an oath of citizenship... already??? Maybe, there is a mistake here.

Does someone have the same experience?. I checked my email and I did not receive anything, even in my junk/spam folder. I am so excited what the actual letter in the mail says. If it is for a test or oath invite. Well if it is for an oath already, we would be very much happy to appear, haha.

Or maybe the test/oath are on that same date? Can someone who had their test and oath at the same time give light on this please?

Same with my friend situation before, when he check ecas theres no test invite yet just the oath invite but after a day they put the test invite together with the oath. I’m pretty sute that your test and oath is on the sameday. Goodluck to your exam kabayan. God Bless...

Thank you very much, thats what I thought at first, but had to ask here in the forum if someone else is at the same boat.

We have 2 full months to prepare for the test/oath, though I have started reviewing since IP date of January4 but felt the need to stop because our app in not even progressing since then. I have to do some readings from now on I guess, LoL.

Did you call the call centre when and whats the respond ???
Hope you got this solve it very soon

Yes, my file is under security clearance, don't what are they doing.
I called few times, they said you will get citizenship before Oct, 2018 and right now nothing is required from my side.
