Calculation of Work Experience

Hello all,

I've a question and I'm pretty sure that many of you have gone or will be going through this.

(1)
I was a full time Master degree student at one of the universities. Since it was a scholarship, I had to do some teaching assistant duties as well. In exact, I was a lab instructor for some courses over the two years.
Would that be counted as experience? Shall I add this to my experience while creating my EE profile ?

(2)
I have a total of two years experience at a vocational center. I was working for 40 hours per week. Would that count for 2 or 3 years of experience? How can I calculate my exam experience?

does both comes under same job code/type?

If yes, and if both are full time and if you have employment proof, yes you should be able to consider
If no, you can consider either one only, which ever is full time and have proper employment proof.

Considering your scenario my assumption is as you were studying and doing job - it may not be considerable as full time job
The second option of 40 hours is full time and that may be considerable.

The bolded part is incorrect.

If he is a CEC applicant he can use several NOC's to both claim CRS points and to meet the eligibility criteria of a year of work experience.
If he is a FSW applicant once he meets a year of continuous work experience in his primary NOC he can use other NOC´s to claim CRS points.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, since my college is a vocational center and my job after graduation is also at a vocational center.
But I mean if I don't want to count my experience while I was doing my masters, and stick to the 2 years after graduation, would the 2 years be considered as 2 years experience or 3 years?
Because the 1 year experience for Canada is to work 30 hours per week, but in my case I was working 40 hours.

I hope it's clearer now.
