Calculate work experience hours

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to calculate work experience hours if there is a gap of 3 months between two jobs. Same NOC, but my first job is 8 months 40 hours/week and second is 11 months with 60 hours/week that includes OT.

Any help would be appreciated

For work experience CIC rule is : weekly hours as per contract and multiplied by period of employment. OT is a part of contract, so definitely to be counted in. I heard that sometimes CIC calls for the timesheet of the applicants if they need to validate the period of employment and also type of work done.

It is not clear why you want to "calculate hours." You only need to do that if you work part-time (fewer than 30 hours per week), and you clearly worked full-time.

You calculate your work experience from start date to end date. Count the number of weeks.

I can't tell you a link for reference, but I thought there could only be a brief break between jobs in order to qualify for a "continuous" year. If this is an essential element of your application, it might be an idea to check this out.

If I do not show 8 months experience would i still be eligible for cec because of hours. i am just not sure if long hours would really help or not.
