Calculate IELTS in express entry

Hello guys,
I am in the pool currently but I have low marks in ielts.so I am willing to retake my ielts exam. Question I just want to know how do u calculate your ielts test points in express entry to your result. I did read about it in cic but I couldn't fully understand it. Thanks guys.

work or express entry..
in this ielts score you can get only work visa not a pr.
