Dear all,

My husband just received an email that he was accepted as a sponsor and our application has been forwarded to the visa office in Cairo :D We're over the moon this is the best news!
So how much longer is it until I get my visa (an estimated time) ?

Congrats vigoretta!!!

On my side, I'm still waiting my CSQ... :(
I think we cannot know how much time the entire process will take.
From what I saw, it could be as short as 6 months, or take much more longer...

Yesterday, the government announced that they will work to reduce the backlog. That's a good news that could make the process faster. I think we need to keep hope. :)

Hey guys
I need your help urgently i only have 14 days to send these papers to the visa office
yesterday i got an email from the visa office here it what it says please note that me and my wife already send proof of return before with our application such as job offers and letter from her family says that they expect us to stay with them without paying them till we get on our feet and get jobs to rent our own house. but these letters had dates i wonder that's why they asking for more? or they want different proofs

Mr. --------

Dear Sir,

This refers to your application for permanent residence submitted at this office subsequent to the receipt of a sponsorship undertaking on your behalf by Mrs. --------

Please note that in order to complete the processing of your application, the following documents will be required :

- Evidence of your sponsor's intention to move/return to Canada with the purpose of establishing permanently there (e.g. A job offer in Canada, evidence of having rented/bought a dwelling in Canada, an acceptance letter from an educational institution in Canada, evidence of having severed ties to the other country, etc...)

Subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, 2001 states that all questions pertaining to an immigration application must be answered truthfully and must provide relevant evidence and documents that the examining officer reasonably requires.

Failure to provide the requested documentation within 15 days will result in your application being assessed on the basis of the documentation presently on file. Please be advised that, as the documentation requested in this email is relevant to the final assessment of your file, failure to provide it will likely result in the refusal of your application.
N.B.: Please return a copy of this letter with the requested document.

Please do not reply to this email to confirm that your documents have been sent or to enquire if they have been received

Hi MelissaJohn,

This looks strange to me to ask you to provide again the same documents. The only reason I could see is because of the date on the documents. Maybe they want to be sure the offers are still valid. I don't know if you write a letter explaning your situation could help..?

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Hey peeps , I would love to help and share my experience with anyone who needs to know anything... If you guys are interested lemme know please..

Yeah that's what i thought but 15 days seems so not fair, and my wife is really mad because she wants to go home the only reason she is here because we wanna fly back together to Canada she can't stand staying here and she got her family to write another letter but they might notarize it this time and job offer from her sister's business and previous job again with new date. I don't know how the hell they think she might stay here LOL. Thank you desertflower

On another note, the time is down to 13 months.....yay!!

SIGH

Congrats to all the 'new' PR's :)

Hi AladdinsGirl! :)
I received my SA late in May and it took 42 days.
I'm now waiting the CSQ.
What about you?

Dear all,

I hope this time I get an answer instead of "give me your email and I'll answer you" and "this is my number call me and I'll let you know all you want".
My husband was approved as a sponsor and Our sponsorship application was forwarded to Cairo visa office last week. I feel this is good news. However I'm hoping someone tells me how long from here until I get my visa. Is it a couple of months or am I being too optimistic?

Thank you.

Hey, Its Ok. I will answer you. But please relax yourself, I got my Sponsor approval on February, and they called me last week, asking for the passport! So it's all took from me 8 months. Wish you the best of luck.
