Is the CIC site "application status" working? I'm having problems

OMG that's sad I am already too mad at them that they are controlling our lives. I was thinking about starting a social media campaign against them but my husband always asks me to calm down and wait but you are the Canadian one, you have should raise the case to whoever might be able to help anyways the best is yet to come wish u a good luck

You are not the only one, if you can do anything it would be great...This is ridiculous to say the least

well i sent an e-mail a week ago to OPP, and they replied saying most of the cairo office files were transferred to cairo since January 24th and the file of my wife is included, and 30 mns ago, they called one of my friends ( his file was received on march29th 2012) and they asked him to send the passport .. so guys wait for good news very soon ISA

I can't give u a definite answer my friend, but probably because it's a quebec file,, and the application was in french, and I don't think that they have a lot of french applicants

Did she has the UCI and file number with her ?

Yes she had everything with her.. And I sent an official invitation swearing on oath, that I will be responsable for all financial expenses.. Etc etc etc.. But still refused

I've been reading this forum on and off for months but haven't actually posted before. Thank you for sharing your experiences; I have learned a lot from reading your posts.

To share a bit of my experience....

My husband (Egyptian) and I (Canadian) applied for his PR on March 13, 2012, and I was approved for sponsorship June 20, 2012. Since then, we haven't been able to get any further information. My husband's medical exam expired Jan. 7, 2013. I thought I could use this date as a means to get some information, but they simply responded with the same message they have sent before when I've emailed them in the past:

Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the immigrant category in which you applied currently require approximately 12 months, as per new standards, to process for routine cases.
Be advised that this application is processing normally within our standard processing time for Family Class cases. If required, we shall be contacting you regarding any additional requirements related to the application.


I have seen some of you reference CAIPS or GCMS and wanted to know if you think these are good options to get more information at this stage of our process, or if you have any other suggestions (And did one replace another? Are these trustworthy?).

The PR Application Status online has only ever said "Application Received". I would love your feedback/suggestions/comments....anything!

I was told by the cic that there is some tech issues, and they are working on it, and some files cannot be seen.(Including mine)

its normal that you cant see nothing yet many people here applied before you and they didint get nothing yet any way order CAIPS OR GCMS it will help you to know whats going on with your file and if you didnt find nothing that mean that they didnt do nothing in your file since you got approval for sponsorship

Good news for you!!! Anyone cares to share more...Is there anyone who is not going to be a Quebecian citizen!!!
