Hey there Marina,

I know from my experience that it is next to impossible to get a visitor visa for spouses. I am Canadian and after my Egyptian husband and I married, my mother fell very ill.... I requested he come to Canada to be with me and meet my mom before things got worse.... they denied my invitation, and he never did get to meet her... its so sad that... but really there is no empathy from cic... they are fast to take our money.... and even faster to refuse the visit...
Having said that, not all cases are the same... but that is my story for you ...

OMG that's sad I am already too mad at them that they are controlling our lives. I was thinking about starting a social media campaign against them but my husband always asks me to calm down and wait but you are the Canadian one, you have should raise the case to whoever might be able to help anyways the best is yet to come wish u a good luck

Sorry! I misread your post...

I am unsure with regards to the interview, but I would be lead to believe that if they were considering an interview they would have told you to bring those things in with you when you had it. It is only my opinion, based on reading things here, but I would say no interview I hope In Sha2 ALLAH it will be waived for you.

I have a question if you don't mind. Do you have any "red flags" with your application?

what do you mean red flag and how do i know if i have them or not ? is that mean age gabs not same culture religion. or language
i think majoirty of case that delays or taking that long i mean whole processing is having red flag and some cases who had red flag they dont requested interviews for them . because it depend in each case some cases not look reasonable and some look like truth it depend on relationship between the applicant and sponsor and it show up with evidence that they request
from my exeprience and what i have read here in that forum Cairo visa office doesnt have any kind of rules or laws or princepals that walk on or the adopt for all cases even in their communication with them if they didnt start your file they wont even look at your emails to them and if your in the end they will make you feel like you chatting with them by faster respond that you requested hahahhahah and that what happened with me

Guys.. I have an update.. A lot of files were transfered to the cairo office from ottawa on january 24th.. And they started calling. Asking for documents or passports, this week, .. Let's hope some some of us are on this list

CAIPS IS really usefull but dont order before like long period from that time you got approval for sponsorship
and dont order it very much no more than three time bcz in the fourth time they wont answer you and that what i got from them hahhahah
they didnt bother to answer me even i paid the 5$ and sent the application like the last three times but since Last Sep ,2012 they didnt answer hahaha it seem like they saying get a hell out of our mind hahhahahah

Yes I mean like age gaps and that sort of thing. I know it seems there is no order of operations with this office for sure. We can only pray ALLAH will help us.

well i sent an e-mail a week ago to OPP, and they replied saying most of the cairo office files were transferred to cairo since January 24th and the file of my wife is included, and 30 mns ago, they called one of my friends ( his file was received on march29th 2012) and they asked him to send the passport .. so guys wait for good news very soon ISA

yeah, it really blows my mind that they are so callous.....far be it from them to think that maybe we just need to do that to fill the ridiculous time restraints they've put before us... mah... and how stupid to think we would do anything to risk the PR for a visit!!!!

forsure... sad indeed. I have asked many questions and made many calls but in the end I am told before any action can be taken, we must wait for the processing time to lapse. It is certainly a long hard road.... Let me know how things go for you
