most of my friends here, it took them from 5 to 7 months....just for one of them it took 9 months,, as he applied during the revolution and the embassy was closed , and his application was returned from Cairo to Ottawa,, and then from Ottawa to Cairo again... so depending on your timeline . i think that you will received the PR very soon
Is there a spreadsheet...I remember seeing one on this thread?? I have noticed most of those applying to sponsor their wives take less time specially if there are no dependents...

Hi Dr Eng X, the spreadsheet I made is in my signature below. I need to update it, but based on what I have at the moment the average time for successful applications is about 7 months 3 weeks to the visa for late 2011 & 2012 applicants.

No problem. Looks like we're next in line! Fingers are crossed our visas come soon... And my username is a nickname given to me by an Arabic-speaking friend, it was what Rachel was called in the Qur'an apparently. : )

update...

I send my application on may 10 received may 16.

I talk to an agent this morning. He told me they received the package may 16 but they returned it yesterday.... form not complete properly.... do you know if I will have to wait another 3 %&# months to know if I am approved or not ?

no actually i was talking about my friends in real life and not in this site , but you are right if you are sponsoring your wife. with no dependents the process should go a lot faster

If it is just a form ...from other cases in this forum ... they reply requesting just the form and in that case they will have specific instructions as to where to send it and sometimes with the CIC agent name
However returning the whole package is not just a form...sometimes they give it priority
Good luck
