Actually, we have not hared anything yet. Our online status is still "Application Received". I went to two MP offices and they put inquires with CIC and they responded back with the following:
Ottawa office has not yet received the interview report.
The application is still within the normal processing time which is 13 month
There is still background check to be performed
Please do not inquire again before two month.

Alhamdo le Allah for whtever he wills, I will try to maintain my patience.

Is background check done after the remedical or before. Is remedical the final step towards visa issuance or not? Thanks

If you are asked to re-do the medical, it is likely the last step.

I wonder how long the embassy takes to return the passport with the visa?
How do you they return it? Do they call for pick up? I really appreciate any input about this.

I wanted to ask the same question as mroliveland above, and also how and when do we pay for the visa insurance? My husband received a confirmation email yesterday asking to send his passport and photos by courier to the embassy. Thank you everyone on this forum for your advice, you've all been so helpful! at least 4 weeks and they will send it by DHL so the next call it will be from DHL but your status at the website will change to Decision made befor u get your passport back like 5 dayes

Around month and half ago they requested Re Medical
and now they requested Police Certificate and to fill up one application form from the sponsorship papers i did before. ? what's going on ?

hi all , my wife and me at the point of sponsorship has been approved and the letter on its way to come at Cairo VO , how long usually does it take to be informed or just know it's has been delivered to Egypt ? , are we waiting just an email or any kind of announcement for interview ?, waiting isn't funny at all , when i think about how it isn't fair at all to keep two persons love each other to be apart, i got sad and mad , i wish the best for everybody to be together so soon and for our future with them to be full of happiness and ( two kids would be so perfect too , lol ) , alhamdd llah rab al3almeen 3ala kol she2 , happy Ramadan for all !!
