Can those that got the visa please tell me if and when the address changed to the Canadian one on ecas?
Thanks
Thanks
It's always been my (Canadian) address that's been referenced. I've always used my name to access the file (attempts to use my husband's name never worked).MadeInCanada said:Can those that got the visa please tell me if and when the address changed to the Canadian one on ecas?

Thanks so much for your kind words. I went in person this morning to my MP and they are seeing what they can find out. Hopefully I will have some news within a couple of days!MadeInCanada said:Your still close though so keep things in a positive perspective. ;D He will be with you and your happily ever after will begin!! ( I know it's tough though, we are only waiting for the passport to be returned too and waiting and waiting....)

Thanks for your reply. We had access to both from the very begining. Have you tried using the f********* (file number) with your husbands personal details? The sponsors goes with the UCI number. If you don't match them correctly you will not be able to log in.CanJen said:Thanks so much for your kind words. I went in person this morning to my MP and they are seeing what they can find out. Good luck with your situation as well!
Oh wow, yes, that works! Thanks so much, MadeInCanada. I never really attempted to figure that one out, as I could always access our info using my credentials.MadeInCanada said:Thanks for your reply. I hope that you do find something out, and hey, keep me/us posted on how that goes. Perhaps a call to my MP might be in the near future too....
Good luck, and really: Stay positive, no matter how many bumps in the road, the destination is still getting closer. I believe anyone whose ever been to Egypt should be well aware of the speed bumps

His login shows his Egypt address, mine shows my Canadian one. Nothing surprising there, I guess.
I'll let you know what the MP's office says (I should hear by Thursday) so you can gauge if it's worthwhile following up with your own.
Thanks again,
CanJen

Also wondering the same thing... It states on the CIC website that there may be a delay, but they will be providing minimum level of service..Mohamed_Hassan said:Does anybody know if the strike is affecting the Cairo visa office? And if it does, Does it affect the passports being sent to the applicants too?
Cairo Embassy wasn't a part of this....yet. I am praying they don't ...CairoCouple said:I talked to my lawyer about this, and this is what he said:
"I don't know if the Cairo visa office staff are in strike. From my understanding it is rotating."
It's not super helpful, but at least we can *maybe* know that it might be affect things that much. If it is rotating than it won't necessarily last that long at each office either.
