Still waiting to get started on my sponsor ship.. only issues is getting documents together.. sorry for sounding like a broken record, but checking with CIC and a friend... about subsidized housing.. she said she got rejected... she never mentioned she was living in subsidized housing on the application... but it was mentioned when they called her... she todl them and then they said you can't sponsor our spouse.
Can anyone tell me why.. she said she was not on welfar? I don't get it

Has anyone really been rejected for this ...?

Dear Spritz

Here in this province subsidized housing is part of a section of welfare, its for persons whos income is low so they base the amount you pay for housing which includes heat,lights and water, sewer and its for families struggling so they would consider that as govt. help. So in order to qualify for sponsership you would have to be paying for everything with your own income.I could be wrong but that is how i see it based on people i knew in subsidized housing. Hope this helps

I live in Nova Scotia and I'm just stating my opinion on what program subsidized housing is under you should call immigration canada and ask them because that is where your application will go for you to be approved.

It's part of government funding for low income families so I'm sure they won't accept you in this position but to be absolutely sure please call immigration canada and ask them.

Does anyone knows if online e-cas is accurate about updating the status, cuz my application has been received at the visa office from 2 months and just saying application received and didn't update it to "in process" yet, did that happen to anyone before, that they are working on the application but just the online process isn't updated properly?

spirit-88, Cairo does not seem to update ecas status. Ours still says application received January 21, 2011. We don't expect to hear anything until a request come for interview or passport.

they wont change your status on the ecas until they actually start working on it
they received my application on 21 of January and my status has not been changed
so set back and relax and be cold as much as you can and don't stress yourself out

dont forget that ur application may take many time even 12 months so its very ok enjoy ur time try to spend ur time in someting dont think about it what happen will happen u cant change nothing and what god gave you its very ok even its not good

It's been 5 months and 4 days and my hubby and I find it harder to stay calm and patient,honestly this is ridiculous god willing after ramadan we all start getting processed.

it seems no one got any changes in his application ,, this makes every one ok knowing others application with same timeline still waiting ,,, so we try be calm

hope after ramadan we hear some news ,,, IT IS JUST WAITING GAME
